Damian Lodge is Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Student Life at Lincoln University – Te Whare Wānaka O Aoraki

The newly established position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Student Life position is a key leadership role, pivotal to the future growth of Lincoln University.  The DVC strategically leads an end-to-end, world-class student experience, developing and implementing initiatives to maximise learner success.  These include advancing learning and teaching, learner success, student engagement and experience, student health and wellbeing and student administration.

Bringing over 20 years’ experience in professional and academic roles at institutions including the University of Tasmania, RMIT University, Charles Sturt University and Massey University, Damian Lodge has been appointed to this important position.  Most recently Dean Academic at Massey, Damian led the restructure of the Academic portfolio, focusing on student learner success and academic quality.  He also led the learning and teaching response during Covid-19 and was Massey’s representative on CUAP and the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s Academic Committee. Damian also held the role of Director of Learning and Teaching at Lincoln previously and is delighted to return to the University.
