Dr Emma O’Rielly has been appointed as Principal at Girton Grammar School

Dr Emma O’Rielly was appointed Principal of Girton Grammar in October 2022. Dr O’Rielly is an outstanding, dynamic leader and educator who has a long history of service to Girton Grammar, having commenced as a teacher in 2007. Dr O’Rielly has held several senior teaching positions, including Head of Teaching and Learning and Deputy Head and twice been Acting Principal. Dr O’Rielly was previously a research scientist and completed a PhD in molecular biology.

Dr O’Rielly is passionate about providing opportunities for students to instil hope, aspiration, and a love of learning, educating in an intentional way that puts relationships at the epicentre.

Dr O’Rielly is Girton Grammar’s first female Principal.
