The Jo Fisher Future Board Scholarship
For Emerging Board Directors
Boardroom diversity will be a key differentiator for Australia’s future. The Jo Fisher Future Board Scholarship seeks to support more young, diverse talent with future-facing capabilities to find a pathway to board representation. In doing so, our intention is to see Australian boardrooms benefit from being challenged to remain relevant and contemporary, with a diverse composition to meet complex issues head on, and to reflect the rich tapestry of Australian society and business today.
This Scholarship offers a springboard for future board members with future-facing capabilities and aspirations to be better prepared for board opportunities as they arise. Applications are invited from leaders under 40 years of age without a current Board position who possess at least 10 years of proven executive career advancement with an emphasis on digital, technology or cybersecurity expertise. It would be desirable but not required that applicants hold a tertiary qualification. Applicants must have permanent residency or citizenship in Australia.
This scholarship is a 12-month program inclusive of:
- One year membership to the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD)
- AICD Director’s course
- Director capability assessment
- Quarterly coaching/mentoring sessions for 1 year
- 1 year Future Exchange membership. Future Exchange is a community for boards and executives to access learning, insights, events, networking, and career support through the Future Leadership ecosystem.
