Chief Executive Officer
Positively impact health and wellbeing in a vibrant community
Fisher Leadership supported the high-profile community health organisation, North Richmond Community Health (NRCH), to appoint a new CEO. With the imminent expiry of the employment contract for NRCH’s Interim CEO, the Board sought to undertake a robust recruitment process to fill the position with an outstanding individual who would take the organisation forward. The primary focus of the position is to lead the delivery of best-practice, high quality integrated health services that strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities across the neighbourhood of Richmond and the City of Yarra more broadly.
A comprehensive briefing process undertaken with the Selection Panel where it was identified it was critical for the new CEO to have a well-developed understanding of community and the social determinants of health. With the NRCH’s Medically Supervised Injecting Room having such a high profile, knowledge and experience in AOD was considered an advantage and political dexterity was considered essential. The Selection Panel sought to appoint a high caliber leader who could inspire the NRCH staff, re-instate a high performing culture and build trusted relationships with the wide range of stakeholders.
Fisher Leadership conducted a full search supported by a national advertising campaign. Fisher Leadership approached people across the health sector who had strong backgrounds in community, AOD and harm reduction as well as in migrant services. The Selection Panel conducted first round interviews with six highly qualified candidates..
Patricia Collocott commenced with NRCH in July 2020. With more than three decades experience in both public and private health, she brings a deep understanding of acute, primary, aged and community health services.
