The Brief

Since December 2018 the Fisher Leadership team has developed a strong relationship with a client, undertaking the processes to appoint a number of key executive positions for the brand-new facility including Director Medical Services, Deputy Director Medical Services and General Manager Human Resources. ​

Following this experience Fisher Leadership was subsequently to complete the searches for two General Manager roles, one based in Sydney and one in Melbourne. Key to the successful appointments of both positions was identifying candidates that were not only exceptional operational leaders but had the capacity and experience to grow revenue for the businesses.​

Solution Building​

The client sought candidates for both roles with credibility and experience operating in large and complex hospital environments to support the existing experienced teams. The appointed candidates would need to be commercially savvy, take the initiative to identify and action business opportunities for growth, and demonstrate higher order leadership skills. Leading and managing the operations for the two major hospitals was paramount for success in the roles.​

The Outcome​

For the Sydney position, Fisher Leadership undertook a swift and targeted search process, identifying a highly qualified and experienced candidate..​

The position in Melbourne was initially highly confidential and Fisher Leadership managed a search process that incorporated non-disclosure agreements for all candidates. The process was successfully completed, and the successful candidate commenced in May 2020.​
